چکیده

Aim. To estimate the concentration of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (interleukin, IL-6), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in blood serum and to analyze polymorphism TNF-α cytokine genes region 308G / A (rs1800629), IL-6 174G C (rs1800795) VEGFA 634G (rs2010963) patients with chronic diffuse liver diseases (CDLD) living Perm region. Materials methods. In 193 CDLD 90 healthy donors, cytokines was studied by ELISA analysis gene PCR performed. Results. CDLD, pro-inflammatory TNF-α, level VEGF were significantly higher than control (p <0.001, respectively), while maximum inflammation markers noted cirrhosis, production - hepatitis C. Comparative single nucleotide polymorphisms showed significant differences occurrence GA AA genotypes (G-308A), carriage CG variant (C-174G), as well allele CC homozygote for marker (G-634C), which population recorded more often cohort allows us consider them genetic risk developing CDLD. Conclusion. An increase pathogenetically can develop against background these molecules. Genetic be used assess progression

Cytokine Gene Polymorphisms in Iranian Patients with Beta-Thalassemia Major

Background: β-thalassemia as a hereditary disease is defined as defective synthesis of   β-globin chains, resulting in erythropoiesis abnormalities and severe anemia. Different studies have shown that cytokines and cytokine gene polymorphisms play a major role in the pathogenesis of   β-thalassemia. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the promoter region or other regulatory sequences ...

Influence of cytokine and cytokine receptor gene polymorphisms on the degree of liver damage in patients with chronic hepatitis C

Hepatic fibrosis may be the result of repetitive injury to hepatocytes caused by HCV infection and the immune response to it. Cytokines regulate the inflammatory response to injury and modulate hepatic fibrogenesis. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located in cytokine genes may influence the cytokine expression and secretion that may contribute to hepatic fibrogenesis in HCV infection. Th...

Can patients with chronic liver diseases withstand Ramadan fasting?

Ramadan is a sacred month for Muslims all around the world. During this lunar-based month, healthy adult Muslims are obligated to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking, or using oral medications from predawn to sunset. Followers will typically eat just after sunset and again before dawn (1). The Islamic lunar Hijri calendar is 11 days shorter than the Gregorian solar calendar, and therefore, t...
